Why It Is Not The Best Time For When Was The Constitution Written | when was the constitution written

“When was the constitution written?” is a question often asked by constitutional historians, political scientists and those who study our country's history. The question is simple enough, but the answer may not be as clear as one might think.

The first answer to the question of when was the constitution written is that it was written when the Articles of Independence was adopted. The Articles of Independence formed the basis of the constitution for the United States of America. This gives some insight into the historical development of our nation. It shows us that our national character was indeed formed long before the Constitution was created.

However, this answer is somewhat unsatisfactory for another reason. It may indicate that the Constitution was never truly written down in its original form. It may have been added, changed or deleted during the course of the Constitutional Convention. The fact that various bodies wrote different versions of the Constitution at different times indicates that the document was not truly brought into being until much later.

The second answer to the question of when was the constitution written is that it was written when the Constitution was adopted and formally accepted as a part of American law by the states. The states were not closely unified on the meaning or scope of the Constitution at this time. In fact, after the Civil War most states had not even written a constitution.

It therefore follows that the question cannot be answered with any certainty. We may never know when the constitution was written. Some people argue that the fact that the US government does not operate under a written constitution means that there was no constitution when the Constitution was adopted. They argue that the framers intended that the constitution should be written down so that future governments could make amendments as they saw fit. Since the Constitution has remained unchanged for almost two centuries, there is no way of knowing whether or not it was intended to be this way.

Another group of people believe that the Constitution was written when the first US government was established after the Revolution. This argument is based upon the argument that the Constitution was passed with the Articles of Union in 1776. This was not a written constitution since the Articles of Union covered all laws and orders that were to be enforced by state governments. Some claim that if the Articles of Union had been written into the Constitution would indeed cover every law and order then in force today. This is a problematic argument since the Supreme Court has held that Congress can waive Article III protection when necessary in order to protect the rights of constituents.
