The Obama Administration is a “progressive” one, and in their view there are four main macro economic objectives. Of course, they will not say which are the four main macro objectives of the government, because they really do not have to say them.
The first macro economic objectives of the government are to create jobs and stimulate economic activity. The Obama Administration wants people to start working again. This means more money in the pockets of those who are out of work, which is the Obama Administration's goal.
The second of the macro-economic objectives of the government is to create more jobs in industries that have been closed down. Again, this is the Obama Administration's objective. It believes that when there is less demand for the products of certain businesses that their goods will be bought by other businesses who are in need of it. That is how it looks at it from the administration's point of view. They want all businesses that have closed down to get back up and start making money again.
The third of the macro-economic objectives of the government is to increase the wealth of the American people. In their view, the wealth that Americans have is their own property, and if they are unable to obtain money for that property the government can take it over to give to the people. Therefore, the government wants to see more money in the pockets of people in order to make them rich again.
The fourth of the macro-economic objectives of the government is to increase the national income of the United States of America. The Obama Administration believes that when American citizens earn more money that the government should take the money and distribute it amongst the people. Again, in the Obama Administration's view, it is the right of the American people to earn as much money as they possibly can. That is what the economy is all about.
So, in essence, the four main macro economic objectives of the government of the United States of America include creating jobs and creating more jobs, stimulating the economy through tax cuts, getting the economy on the move through spending, and increasing the wealth of the American people in order to make them rich again. Now that is a conservative way of looking at it.
