Micro and Macro Economics class in UBC offer the opportunity to take advantage of both types of economic concepts and how they apply to our everyday lives. Macroeconomics is a term that represents how economic activity affects the overall economy. By taking this course students will gain an understanding of how economic activity affects the entire society and the government policy. The topics include:
Microeconomics focuses on how individuals and businesses make decisions about the use of resources. The topics include how businesses use money, how individuals use their time, and how the economy and its prices work to create these decisions. The topics include; labor, money, and markets. This course also covers topics such as how consumer demand affects the economy, economic growth, economic breakdowns, and how the distribution of income affects the whole system.
Macroeconomics uses various models of the economic, in order to analyze economic data. These models are used to determine what factors affect the market and where changes in the market should be made. It also analyzes the effects of government policies on the economy.
The course does require students to understand concepts related to the theories and how they will be used in the classroom. This includes understanding the theory of demand and the theory of supply.
This course is also taught at the same time as a course called the Econometrics of Education. Both courses are part of the same curriculum so students should look into them if they are interested in learning more about how economics works. micro and macro economics class 12 | macro} Students will not learn everything they need to know about the concepts presented in this course until after they take Micro and Macro Economics class in UBC. There is still much more research that must be done on the topic, but the knowledge that they learn here will help them make better decisions when they are working on their own and when they are involved in the political arena.
The course can be taken during the first or last semester of the year as long as students want. There is also the option of taking the course during the summer in order to allow students to see the content as it is being taught and to familiarize themselves with the theory and how the concepts will be applied to their lives.
